EXPERIENCE

Graduate Researcher @ Lamar University September 2019 – Present
-
Conducting and publishing research projects in areas of human factors, ergonomics, usability, user
research, behavioral science and psychology using quantitative and qualitative mixed research methods. -
Published and ongoing research include topics such as color contrast ratios, computer screen blue light exposure, mobile gaming, classroom lay outs, background music in task performance and advertising.
-
In charge of the Human Factors lab; managing lab personal and the equipment
-
Obtaining and analyzing biofeedback data such as brain signals using brain computer interfaces (EEG),
pupil sizes and gaze ratios based on area of interest using eye trackers, muscle activity using EMG -
Developing participant screeners, recruitment processes, experiment surveys and interviews
-
Performing usability tests, prototyping, focus groups, heuristic evaluations, and statistical data analysis.
-
Presented published research at international scientific conferences, interacting with many professionals
with diverse backgrounds, engineers, technicians, customer service agents, sales, and marketing representatives. -
Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in capstone projects design and implementations.

Teaching Assistant @ Lamar University September 2017 – May 2019
-
Assisted at teaching Engineering Economics, Industrial Management, Project Management, Engineering Management, Statistics and Occupational Ergonomics courses.

Project Engineer Intern @ Lactalis American Group May 2018 – August 2019
-
Led the project of optimizing the efficiency of newly installed cheese shred line.
-
Conducted in depth performance and efficiency analysis based on personal reports, surveys, interviews,
time studies, equipment performance data. -
Identified areas to be improved for production efficiency such as inconsistent off-calibration, inconsistent product level/flow, ineffective product distribution on scale.
Operations Research Analyst @FedEx (Capstone Project) September 2016 – June 2017
-
Offered a software solution to management after qualitative and quantitative analysis for the Vehicle Routing Problem. Project resulted in 4.3% in savings (about $20,000 annually).
